When our arty/theatre friend, Suzy Salvon Webb, first saw one of our hand-painted platters, she christened it a “Brubeck” as it reminded her of the album cover of one of Dave Brubeck’s record albums that her parents owned when she was a kid. Also, she pronounced our decoration as being jazzy, just like Brubeck. The name stuck.
